Emily was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. She attended college at the University of Southern Mississippi where she graduated with honors and received a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and a Minor in Chemistry in 2009. She then attended the University of South Alabama where she earned her Masters of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies in 2011. Emily is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She is a member of the Society for Dermatology Physician Assistants and the Mississippi Dermatology Association. She has been an asset to our team since 2013 practicing medical dermatology and also treats cosmetic patients seeking injectables for a fresher look.
It is very important to Emily for her to effectively diagnose and treat her patients while ensuring a positive and welcoming experience in our office. Her mission is to empower her patients to live a healthier life in a healthier environment. Not only does she emphasize the importance of diagnosing and treating a skin condition effectively, she is passionate about the importance of nutrition and how this impacts our skin. Emily also likes to educate patients on the quality and safety of the ingredients used in our everyday skin care products.
In her free time, Emily enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. She is an active volunteer in the community and enjoys teaming up with other healthcare providers in our area to offer free educational classes on how to live a more natural lifestyle. It is her priority to always go above and beyond in offering healthcare solutions that adheres to a person’s personal beliefs and values, whether it is a modern medicine or a more holistic approach.
