Emily was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. She attended college at the University of Southern Mississippi where she graduated with honors and received a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and a Minor in Chemistry in 2009. She then attended the University of South Alabama where she earned her Masters of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies in 2011. Emily is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is also a member of the Society for Dermatology Physician Assistants and the Mississippi Dermatology Association. She has been an asset to our team since 2013 practicing medical, surgical, and cosmetic Dermatology.
It is very important to Emily for her to effectively diagnose and treat her patients while ensuring a positive and welcoming experience at our Wiggins location. Not only does she emphasize the importance of diagnosing and treating a skin condition effectively, she is passionate about the importance of nutrition and how this directly impacts our skin. Emily likes to empower her patients with education on diet and lifestyle changes that can improve their skin and their overall health so that they are not stuck with temporary band-aids, but instead, long-term, sustainable solutions. It is her priority to always go above and beyond in offering healthcare solutions that adheres to a person’s personal beliefs and values, whether it is a modern medicine or a more holistic approach.
In her free time, Emily enjoys spending time with her husband, Eddie, her twin boys Mason and Maddox, and her daughter, Marideth. Emily has another baby girl on the way arriving in September 2023! They are big Southern Miss baseball fans and attend every home game that they can at Pete Taylor Park! Emily loves volunteering in her community in Hattiesburg and is eager to get more involved in the Wiggins community as well!
