The Dermatology Clinic is proud to announce the opening of our brand new office at the corner of East Taylor Road and Cowan-Lorraine in Gulfport.  With a larger facility we plan to continue offering the latest in dermatological services.

As you glance through this site, you will see a sampling of the services we offer. Dr. Wingfield and Dr. Sasaki perform cosmetic procedures such as Botox®, collagen, Restylane®, Radiesse®, chemical peels, and sclerotherapy as well as diagnosing and treating many common skin conditions. Ask us about the Arasys Inch Loss system or Phototherapy and Xtrac Laser Phototherapy treatments. All of these services are performed here in our office by specially trained staff members.

We are pleased to have 2 licensed aestheticians on staff. Michelle Skrmetta, joined our staff in August 2006. Michelle's emphasis is on cleansing and retraining the skin to produce healthier tones and textures. We welcomed Patty Bailey aboard in March 2008, and her areas of interest are waxings, peels, and the new "Hot Stone Facials". Both aestheticians can help find the optimal skin care regimen for you with home products, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, skinmaster treatments, and therapeutic facials. They can keep you looking great with facial waxing services and Mineral Mine make-up.

Our staff is very experienced in laser procedures and is closely supervised by Dr. Wingfield and Dr. Sasaki. Teresa Puzz, LPN has over 7 years of experience in her field as a laser nurse. She has been a licensed practical nurse for 20 years. Teresa has had extensive training on the uses and benefits of laser operations and together you can formulate a plan to achieve your desired outcome. Call to schedule your free consultation with Teresa today.

As new technologies and techniques emerge we are always on the cutting edge at The Dermatology Clinic. Thank you for trusting your appearance and skin care to us. We are the experts and we are all your skin needs.

Our office is conveniently located in Gulfport on Cowan-Lorraine Road. You can find a map with easy to follow directions in the Contact Information section of this site

What is Dermatology?

Just about everyone knows that dermatology concerns the skin. According to Webster’s Dictionary, dermatology is the “medical study of the physiology and pathology of the skin”. Most people think of dermatologists treating acne and rashes. As “Mr. Webster” states, dermatologists study what causes skin conditions, but they do much more. Dermatologists determine if the mole you look at every day is actually a mole or a sign of a more serious disease process, they treat the maddening itch of eczema or psoriasis, and tell you what kind of rash your 3 year old has and how to treat it.

In addition to performing minor surgery to remove skin cancers, moles, and cysts, Dermatologists perform non-invasive cosmetic procedures such as chemical peels, injections of Botox® and collagen, and administer sclerotherapy treatment to spider veins. Your dermatologist is the best resource you have for advice on proper skin care and advice concerning rejuvenation of photodamaged skin.

We urge you to seek advice and services from Board Certified Professionals who are specifically trained to perform cosmetic procedures before undergoing any such procedure.  All of the treatments mentioned above have the potential to cause cosmetic unpleasantness if not done correctly, but serious harm can also occur.
