PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma)

To help speed up and intensify the repair and rejuvenation of your skin, we also offer an added treatment in combination with MicroPen EVO, Morpheus8, Opus Plasma, CO2RE CO2, or Vivace by applying your own processed serum “PRP” to the skin during the procedure. Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy involves using your own blood-serum, which has your own platelets containing various growth factors. Growth factors in the serum and the platelets are the main agents that stimulate and repair the skin.

How is the serum obtained and processed?
We draw a tube of your blood and separate the red blood cells from the serum-containing platelets, which are rich in substances that repair injured tissue. We then process the serum to increase the platelet concentration. Afterwards, we activate your serum with concentrated platelets to release growth factors and other enzymes that stimulate cellular regeneration and new skin growth. At this time, your processed serum is ready to be applied to the skin to start the repair of the injured skin. PRP provides nourishment to the skin to repair and build new skin in the areas where your procedure has been performed.

PRP is available to almost anyone because it is a natural procedure with minimal side effects. It is particularly ideal for candidates with darker skin. Most patients look as though they have a moderate to severe sunburn for 2 days afterward and your skin may feel warm and tighter than usual.
